Hmm... should it be Mnemosyne or Mnemosyune ???
Hmm... should it be Mnemosyne or Mnemosyune ???If you go by katakana, it should be Munemosyune/Munemoshune (same thing, different romanization), but the greek god in question is rightly spelled Mνημοσύνη or romanized Mnemosine/Mnemosyne. Take your pick or just go with the official romanization (the wisest choice, IMO).

Spoiler Tagged for NSFW Images

The Mnemosyne -Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi- anime seiyuu (animation voice actors) for Lola (Lora, Loura, Laura, whatever), Oohara Sayaka, and Yamanobe Sayara (she has six kanji in her name), Tanaka Rie, made their appearance in episode 17 of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai this week. Oohara Sayaka voices Rika's mother (Rika mama), while Tanaka Rie voices the mysterious, long- and silver-haired woman (Nomura/Takagi) who, in design and in voice, unmistakably reminds all too many of another famous Tanaka Rie character in Rozen Maiden.
Tanaka Rie's character in Higurashi Kai has caused quite a stir and a lot of chatter on Higurashi and various other threads at Japan's huge 2ch forums (http://www2.2ch.net/2ch.html), from anime boards to game boards to voice boards. The Higurashi staff, one Japanese viewer says, is paying homage to Tanaka Rie and her now legendary acting performance as Suigintou, affectionately known as "Ginsama."
Many others would agree.

What do badass schoolgirl Kuki Ageha & evil scientist Yamanobe Sayara have in common? (http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p=1265779&postcount=30)
In the sexy, hardboiled science fiction action anime, Mnemosyne -Mynemosyne no Musume-tachi-, Tanaka Rie voices Yamanobe Sayara, head of Aoyama Pharmaceutical Company's Sayama Laboratory. The haughty, quite sadistic Sayara conducts illegal experiments at the laboratory.
Tanaka Rie is very happy to play Sayara, who she describes as a considerably sadistic character and a "kowai [scary] oneesan." (http://www.fan.to/news.php?news_seq=7921)
Yamanobe Sayara appears to be another one in Tanaka Rie's evergrowing line of antagonistic, evil, and villainous roles: Morganna Mode Gone in .hack//SIGN, Suigintou in Rozen Maiden, Tomoe Marguerite in My-Otome, Nomura/Takagi in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, etc.
Anime images from goo support Yamanobe Sayara's description as a sadist.
Seiyuu seem to fit their characters well. Rin appears to be in her mid twenties, but her actual age is unknown. Mimi appears to be in her late teens, but her actual age is also unknown. Laura looks her age. Apos is a boy. Sayara is evil.

In the Sunday, September 30, 2007 (http://www.tanaka-rie.com/diary_7/?20070930) entry on her blog, Tanaka Rie indicates that she has landed a lot of regular roles in anime and will announce them later.
Because Yamanobe Sayara in Mnemosyne -Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi- (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=8931) has been about the only major regular role in anime confirmed since that announcement on her blog, Tanaka Rie (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=697) (Kirijou Mitsuru) likely will be one of the Japanese voice actors in the Persona 3 game reprising their roles in the Persona 3 anime. Some of the other seiyuu from the original Japanese cast in the game may also be reprising their roles in the anime.

Thanks!
Well, "Mirai Nikki" literally means Future Diary (or Diaries), and it's a manga by Esuno Sakae that ran in Monthly Shounen Ace in 2006.
I don't see anything about it on the website for Dengeki G's, or on Shounen Ace's, so definitely still unconfirmed at this point
But it's entirely plausible. It looks like the manga is reasonably popular and recent, plus now seems to be the time all the companies are kicking their announcements for winter in gear.

One day a catastrophe leave those two children without their father, and they are forced to depart. Together, they will travel all Europe in search of a place to fulfill their dreams.

Released Saturday, November 10, 2007 in Japan, the December 2007 issue of Animage magazine, published by Tokuma Shoten, reportedly indicates that the January 2008 issue of Animage, slated to go on sale Monday, December 10, 2007 in Japan, will include as an extra gift an Animage original edition of "Gin-sama Chronicle 'Suigintou no Koyoi mo Ennu~i'" Internet radio CD. (http://p2.chbox.jp/read.php?url=http://news22.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/moeplus/1195137954/)
The "Suigintou mo Koyoi mo Ennu~i" ("Suigintou's 'It's Ennui Again, Tonight'") Internet radio show, hosted by none other than the silver haired, black winged doll of darkness herself, Suigintou aka Gin-sama aka Tanaka Rie, has proven itself to be a popular program - popular enough, at least, to have a third CD scheduled to go on sale in Japan.
With PEACH-PIT (http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p=1247026&postcount=6) finally receiving Rozen Maiden fan mail from Comic BIRZ and publisher Gentousha after all these years, the new Rozen Maiden ~träumend~ drama and Suigintou radio CDs going on sale in December 2007, and anime oriented Animage pushing its own CD version of the Suigintou Web radio show, a number of Japanese fans think that the Rozen Maiden manga may start up again (somewhere), and that the much more popular Rozen Maiden anime will get a third season.
Only time will tell.

I think you're mistaking this manga for something completely different. The only mentions of Vampire Knight in this thread is someone's wishlist (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?p=1130312#post1130312) and an earlier unbacked rumour (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?p=1036117#post1036117).
It's awesome new news!
EDIT: I just noticed that both of those earlier mentions were by the same poster. ;) Even jcdranzer, who was the one who first heard a rumour, wasn't sure about it a coupla months later. I'm glad we've got proof now!

A Drama CD announcement: Hook's 18+ eroge HoneyComing is getting a Drama CD called "HoneyComing ~one more chime!~" (Amazon listing (http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B000XZT6XY/)). Normally this wouldn't be particularly noteworthy or unusual, but what seems interesting to me is that it's being published by Geneon Entertainment JP. Could an anime adaptation be forthcoming in 2008? (Hook's HoneyComing Website (http://www.hook-net.jp/honeycoming/) (NSFW))

Why'd they decide to do a Batman Japanese anime after all these years?
Meanwhile here I am, still waiting for them to realize it would be a good idea to make a Batman and Superman movie....
Why'd they decide to do a Batman Japanese anime after all these years?
Well, there's the recent growth of anime/manga culture in the US. I guess an important factor is that Japanese studios are directly pushing for American co-productions since that stuff actually makes money (i.e. Gonzo recently announced plans to concentrate primarily on two types of shows: highly otaku-centric stuff and hip American-style titles). While anime DVD sales are generally struggling in both Japan and the US, shows like Afro Samurai and Witchblade have done relatively well.

Did you read the article? It's a promotional DVD for the 2nd movie. Besides why wouldn't they make this. They have worked with American producers before on Batman series. Japanese studio's also did animatrix.

Animenewsnetwork article http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2007-12-08/japanese-anime-studios-confirmed-for-batman-videoWell no actually, I didn't read the article, lol.
As for why I wondered why they were doing this after al this time, I asked that because Batman is decades old. If they were going to make a full-blown Batman Japanese anime (not just an animated series with Japanese participation), why didn't they make one before? (remember that I asked this question before I found out that it's supposed to promote an upcoming movie :p )

New anime announcement:
Telepathy Shoujo Ran
The original--Telepathy Shoujo Ran Jiken Notes by Asano Atsuko--is a series of children's books published under the AoiTori Bunko label. Not that surprising since the 26-episode anime is going to air on NHK Kyouiku TV. Anyway, the books have eventually spawned a shounen manga series in Shounen Sirius, and also a drama CD that was released (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?p=873582&highlight=telepathy#post873582) back in March. The anime is set to air in Spring 2008.
Telepathy Shoujo Ran is a story of personal growth and friendship. Isozaki Ran is an energetic junior highschool student possessing ESP, but she doesn't notice it until she meets Naha Midori. Strange events start happening after she learns of her new powers, so she decides to investigate them together with Midori and her childhood friend Ayase Roi.

From MangaUpdates:
Another work by Reiko Shimizu, or rather her newest. This series is a disturbing manga about solving murder cases by applying the newly developed method of viewing the memory of dead people's brains. And as in every manga done by this mangaka, weird supernatural forces are of course included.
The first chapter is actually a prologue and is concentrated on the first case where this method was used. Chapter 2 is when the two main characters are introduced, so hang on!
Genre: Shoujo, Horror, Mystery, Psychological

Kung Panda Director Mark Osborne Says Film Strongly Influenced By Anime
While in Japan to promote the opening of the Kung Fu Panda CG animated theatrical feature from DreamWorks in theaters across Japan on Saturday, July 26, 2008, Kung Fu Panda director Mark Osborne (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Kung+Fu+Panda+director+Mark+Osborne) stated that Japanese animation (Japanese anime) heavily influenced and inspired the making of the Kung Fu Panda movie (2008).
Osborne said they watched a lot of anime while making this film. According to Osborne, they borrowed, among other things, a lot of anime's action techniques and timing. They want to pay tribute to Japanese animation, which gave them a lot of inspiration.
Osborne was asked what Japanese anime influenced Kung Fu Panda?
Osborne answered Ninja Scroll (Juubei Ninpuuchou) (1993; directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri), Cowboy Bebop (1998; directed by Shinichiro Watanabe), FLCL (2000; directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki), Samurai Champloo (2004; directed by Shinichiro Watanabe), etc. And, lastly, the works of Hayao Miyazaki, whom he and all the Kung Fu Panda staff respect.

While many animators in the West, such as those at Disney (http://www.nausicaa.net/miyazaki/miyazaki/impact.html) and Pixar, (http://www.nausicaa.net/miyazaki/museum/pixar/index.html) openly and proudly acknowledge being greatly influenced and inspired by the works of Hayao Miyazaki, it is nice to see Western animators like Kung Fu Panda director Mark Osborne also cite other Japanese animated works as influences on, and inspiration for, their own works.

From Storm in Heaven (http://www.storminheaven.net/) group:
Natsume's just an ordinary kid, except he can see spirits, just like his grandma Reiko could. Reiko, though, used to bully the spirits, and bound them to her will in the "Book of Friends". Now that Natsume has inherited this book, a never-ending stream of spirits is coming after him. With the help of a spirit "cat" (who really just wants Natsume to die so he can have the book), Natsume spends his days dissolving the contracts that bind the spirits and trying not to get killed.

Oh God! Really?! The lolification of the Sangoku period is getting an anime. I've actually played a bit of this game and let me tell people, this is no Sengoku Rance, nor is it Dynasty Warriors, nor is it even Ikkitousen. This is just.....well you'll see. And if whoever's doing it can do just one thing. Never mind trying to tell some sort of epic story, but at least try not to make the art suck at the very least.
And Slayers might actually give Megumi Hayashibara something to do again.
And Slayers might actually give Megumi Hayashibara something to do again.
Aside from a little something called Rebuild of Evangelion *whistles*
Not that this discussion really should be here, but if I were Hayashibara, I'd much rather do a new season of Slayers than a rehash of Eva.
...Then again, Eva probably pays better these days.

And Slayers might actually give Megumi Hayashibara something to do again.Come on, it was obvious it would happen. After all it was pretty popular. That remind me about the endings:
There are 3 real ending (not counting that harem one), 2 being lolis, so maybe just maybe I may hope for the protagonist to end up with Chouhi (http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/1079/cchouhizn4.jpg) (the super strong tomboy loli that happens to be the only one calling the protagonist onii-chan) or Shokaturyou (http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/3934/cshokaturyouef7.jpg) (the loli mage) ?:p

Moonphase states that Osamu Dezaki will direct, with Akio Sugino doing character designs and Masao Maruyama as the producer.
No further details, but Dezaki and Sugino are giants of the industry - Dezaki directed Rose of Versailles (although newer fans may know him better from the Air movie) and Sugino has done character designs and directed animation for countless shows. Plus Maruyama runs Madhouse, which gives an indication of who might animate this show whatever it is...
